My hem stitch

For family pictures my baby needed a little brown dress. The dress she had ended up being too little. So I decided to get a little creative.

I found my oldest daughters cute brown blouse. (Size 6)I should have taken a picture of it before I started, but I didn't.

So here is a pic of it inside out.I put it on my baby, and made some measurements. Then I took it off, pinned it, and got my sew on. I pulled out my brown thread and my hem stitch and got crackin'

Here is my hem stitch as I hemmed the sides of the shirt.Turn it inside out and voila. You have an adorable baby dress with an easily undone hem stitch. It is ready to turn it back into shirt whenever we want.Here is a picture of the girls and our little cutie patootie in this dress.

A Jam Plan

I thought it would be fun to start a blog with some of my mom friends about the things we do. The meals we make, the cakes we decorate, the capes we sew, the curtains we hang. So that is my plan.
